the chasm…

it’s now time again for the chasm between when my loves are sleeping and when i’m awake, and vice versa. that’s gotta be the toughest time for those separated across the globe. it is at least for me. it’s worse for me when it’s my turn to sleep, but still sad i have to miss saying hi, even though my distractions are plenty. i’m loving it here. will be back soon!

bengaluru bound!

In October, I am headed to bangalore, India. I was asked by an old college friend to shoot a wedding. I ended up doing it at (below, hah) cost, for the opportunity to visit a continent, even the city that i’ve wanted to visit for a few years yet! They were kind enough to take care of a week stay! Now that that’s the case, I have some exploring to do. I get five days to do this:)

I’m looking to shoot the way that i do (with an insane amount of cameras and film combinations, to slice it at every angle), and edit the results to a book! On monday I started a kickstarter page for the project. Given the short time frame, and the fact that it’s come as a surprise to me this year that i’d be making my first trip off of this continent, I think it is fitting to do “that book” many have asked me about. :) It’s been amazing that i’ve been able to say yes, get a passport, and otherwise prepare for this!

If you’ve found anything i’ve done, in life :) to be of any financial value, i’d appreciate putting your name in my book, and writing you a postcard from India!

As things have progressed (this past week!) i’ve come up with a tentative plan to spend most of the time in Bangalore (the wedding is on the 16th), with a side trip to at least Chennai, and hopefully Mysore (is this where i could find some delicious Mysore Pak?!)
