this is the second time something similar to this has happened in her sunday class

one of the ladies had misplaced the presentation CD for our church’s kids’ camp.

my older girl’s class prayed for it. they basically were listening to God and put down what they thought He gave them. My girl and her friend had a picture of a bible, and upside down, so they prayed on that. (it’s so funny to hear my girl talk about it, she’s so matter of fact about it…kind of like her mother when it comes to faith. it’s definitely a gift. i tend to catch myself working at it quite a bit).

melissa got home, and screamed like she saw a mouse. she looked in her bible, and the CD was in there upside down. (i’m not clear on the orientation but only to assume that when you open the bible like a book, it was sitting upside down in the case).

crazy stuff. God is Good.

i had originally planned to shoot with someone sunday but the planning didn’t work out too well…it was all good ‘cos i thought i’d not be able to do it anyway :) it turns out thought that i’d forgotten about a meeting sunday night (so i wouldn’t have really been able to do it :). on the ride back home i got back though, i had the itch, the weather was lovely, so i called rachel…let’s do a shoot…trying to think of colours to wear…”something red, or green”…joy yells out “or yellow!”

yeah, yellow worked. my daughter and i scooped her up, went around the corner, and had, how do they say, a blast.

she graduates this weekend; i remember the first pictures i took of this girl (at a friends/family gathering…her parents still have one framed in their living room :-). it’s been fresh to see her grow up into a woman.

great session this weekend with eli. senior pictures. very mellow cat. only regret is that he played a drum kit, and i wanted to have us bring it to the park to shoot. i’m gonna make sure i push harder for stuff like this–hey…you only (should :-) do senior pics once!
