sometimes seattlites annoy the snot out of me

maybe it’s my age noticing it, but i do think its the area–i’ve noticed a bit more righteous indignation out here. :)

this shot was taken a little earlier or after i almost clocked a random human being for urging me to "watch after my kids" by starting the admonition by calling me an MF in front of my kids. he claimed there was imminent danger. my only guess is that he didn’t know that there were four of us watching out for them, the kids know this building (my office) like the back of their hands (well as much as a kid can know the back of their hands :), and that a 2yo baby crying does *not* signal imminent danger, but what a kid does.

it seems that even in the age of being perfectly pc, the idea of keeping your opinions about child-rearing to yourself has not caught on. I guess no one has gotten upset enough about it to fire anyone from their job or write a nasty letter to a newspaper about it. And it happens to me all the time here too, everyone seems to have an idea of how to keep a 3yo from attacking his sister. Thank goodness I have their two sense what would I do without it!
