frustrated situation

i hate when i’m in a situation where i need some advice/help in dealing with a situation, but everyone around is so screwed up (figuratively, literally) that you can’t find that one anyone that can help you out. feels like drowning, a little bit.

so odd. you can’t get the help you’d like, but life is moving on and you have to continue doing what you have to do in the moment.

yeah uh that’s about it.

its 1:39a and all is not well at the moment (yeah one of “those” kinds of thoughts). i mean i woke up to the TV, and this “lap band” infomercial, and for a full 15 minutes it completely freaked me out and i thought it was an ad for some kind of digital avatar you can use on your website. after 5 more minutes i finally figured it out. i mean c’mon yo, that host. she looked ridiculously fake with her calculated head movements and square head.

it’ll be okay though.

dang that was obtuse. and i’m sober. :)

what is UP

what is UP, originally uploaded by jon….

oh goodness!

so about last year, i shot what i thought was my last roll with this doggone lomo lc-a (basically i was nervous while shooting because of the massive physical damage this camera has). it came out horribly (if not artistically:), with streaks, and leaks, etc.

i wasn’t sure if it was the film or the camera…i lent this joint to my boy TJ…who never once used it the whole time, and i moved on to my voigtlander…well…

while in baltimore my voigtlander’s winder just got stuck. just like that. wouldn’t move. so i sent it back to Mr. G. (it’s still under warranty) for repair. i had two photo shoots coming up (senior pix–they’re coming up in my stream!) and one of our nikon lenses is busted; i was hoping to get baby V back in time for some film shots…hadn’t heard anything from Mr G. so i wrote to find out what’s up…i got an autoreply saying that dude is out in japan until october 9th! CRAP!

so on a whim, i got my lomo back from TJ, and shot 2 rolls (in addition to a roll in the nikon N70, and then some D70 shots–the insurance joints! :) and hoped for the best.

turns out, although my lomo’s missing a winder, and the top part is just wrecked to bits, holes everywhere…and a piece came out of the viewfinder that i have no idea where it’s supposed to go…BUT apparently where it counts…where the film rolls through and exposures are made–are completely, perfectly intact! the lomo was NOT dead–it was apparently a bum roll of film all along!

crud. i went the entire summer without my baby..although admittedly baby V gave me a good run, and will continue to do so, for those times where i *have* to be spot on with focus, and that kind of thing ;-)

all this to say…it’s time to lomo again. i’m 100 pix behind in the lomo pool so time to get caught up, jo.
