it was good to spend a few moments with the legend, i’m particularly happy joy got to go with us, since they’re the homies. :)

he really got down last nite at neumos. someone needs to tell fat goose chicken though that i got his number–he pulled electricity while pj was doing his last, and my favorite song, “nothing without you”.

Very happy TJ and Jill got to come along. I want to do another double date.

this picture cracks me up. i really wanted to get it a little earlier…the parents were quite far behind, and i couldn’t figure out why these two little guys were walking all by themselves, one pulling a suitcase!

still, even after the parents got there, the kids interaction is cracking me up.

this will be the first time i’ve seen the “post quannum” pj (not that i’m expecting different!) — same energy no doubt, and really, even with a small budget he always came off quite well.

looking forward to this one.

these colour holga shots in the “spores” set are from a roll of film that was in my holga when i dropped it into the sound, and went in to salvage it (i didn’t even realized i dropped it until i heard someone say “hey!”)

ivey pre-soaked, and, in fact, the clarity on this roll is about the best i’ve had with a holga. something about the salt water (don’t try it at home though).

the featured photo isn’t an effect of the drop though–it’s a double exposure i took of my kids playing through the Very Close waters of alki beach (to think that we had about hundreds of more feet of land to play on last time we were there a few months ago)

Listening: “Soul Food” by Goodie Mob…whoo forgot how much i love this joint. “Frustrated, Irritated” — when i first heard that, that was when my ear locked in on this album. something about the way that came off, hella powerful…they was not loving some white people, though!

the yashicamat has finally arrived (won it 3 weeks ago. the wonders of bidpay). glad that the 124 was a lemon, actually. for about $40 less, i get a lens cap, hood, 1A filter, orange #2 filter, and manual. camera is also in quite good condition (aside from a sticky shutter).
