exhausted. done scanning, only a little catch up to do. namely polaroids.
happened to check in on work email a few minutes ago and became *very* exhausted.
what a fun day tomorrow (i mean sunday) may be. :/

mark farina killed it last night. his downtempo set was perfect. i would have done the same thing. when he brought out the fred wesley. i lost it. then he did it again, bumping up the tempo, and starting the house set. so soulful. kinda stressed more black folk weren’t out there. i’m so surprised i can go listen to music so soulful and there not be black people there. we’re being marketed to wrongly.
big ups to nicole for being down with the farina from back in the day. it looked like you were having so much fun with your crew. kathy would be proud (okay so its a running joke–i don’t even know if k’s love for the MF is as much as i make it out to be. :)
and thanks to ben for calling me out. good meeting you. you said something to me while i was taking pics that was jocular, but i took it to heart–’cos it’s something i definitely struggle with in my picture taking as well as in life in general. here’s to keeping it real.

man — didn’t even ruin a single picture. the infrared folk got me all worried about mishandling my film and fogging.
basically the deal is–when dealing with infrared film, you are to load IN TOTAL DARKNESS. i had gotten the impression, however, that if i even exposed the leader to light (as i did when i opened up the film canister, out of curiousity — interesting–all white film), my film would fog, and after every exposure, i should immediately place the camera back in my pocket.
at least in the lomo lc-a that didn’t seem to be the case. I’m gonna take some more rolls to see if i get consistently decent results. I’d like to mess around with color infrared as well.
so great to live in a city with a nearby lab that processes pretty much everything.

i took this while on my trip in nashville back in april. she was sitting there, and looked so fresh with the red hair and green pants. this is completely unposed. i told her afterwards why i was taking the picture. :) i’m impressed with her! thanks!

baby holding good. :)
tonight was fun, low key. i wasn’t in a terribly chatty mood, but i chopped it up, and hung out with my kids, as joy spent time on the Internet. i only saw one non-mac out of the about 5 laptops that were in attendance. telling.
i got to see the dashboard for about 2 seconds and was wooed.
joy mentions after we get home about helping to pay dues…doh! next time around i wanna put my part in the bucket. i appreciate greatly what anita’s done in getting and keeping the group together.
aight time for sleepytime. i somehow have 2 kids in the bed now with me.
i sure hope at least 1 of the infrared shots came out, from the roll i took in the LC-A. there’s absolutely nothing i could find on the Internet concerning B&W Infrared film + LC-A.
a weird thing’s happening with the comments–you may see a completely blank screen. no worries–the comment was posted.
