Photo Friday: Action

upside

uploaded from flickr.

can you not clearly see the action depicted?

  • thanks for the kind words... means a lot, especially coming from you! (and ward says thanks, too. worked HARD on that propain design!)... yes, we'll be all up in flickr soonsoonsoon. joy, I am 'girlhula' (BIG surprise, I know).

grown man's myspace... hahahaha.... yes, precisely!

and I'm all over that flickr testimonial. I'd be honored! never really done one before. I don't even think I have any contacts on my list yet- my sad little page- no pics, no contacts! anyway, you better watch for a sweet little testimonial to debut on your page soon!

Andrea, i greatly appreciate your comments!

i don't know much about it either--definitely constantly learning, and constantly shooting, and reading up. hey i've seen a few on your site and i'm digging your eye--for shots as well as your aesthetic choices of others' work. all good signs :)

sounds like i hear a flickr testimonial coming on (hint!:)

    i'm feeling ward's propain design :D

i hope you get your flickr on shortly! its probably one of the best things that's happend to my picture taking. :) there are so many great photographers there. i call it the Grown Man's Myspace. :)

    thanks again!

    j.

    from the animation family:)

    what's your flickr name?
  • I was intrigued by this photo, so I checked out some more on your flickr page... seriously, phenomenal action shots... thanks for sharing your process. I am so green when it comes to photography (learning, learning all the time)... anyway, whatever you did, it worked. been meaning to tell you for some time now just how much I enjoy your photography. you have an incredible eye, both in terms of composition and subject. and I LOVE the one of the propain matchbook cover... (ward is feeling it as well).

on a side note, been set up with flickr for awhile but haven't gotten our photos scanned and organized into groups...! looking forward to it as I find flickr to be a wonderful, wonderful thing. I'm big on viewing pics on slideshow and your action shots look amazing in slideshow... if you decrease the display time to 1-2 seconds, you can almost see them dancing (very cool animated-like effect)...

    hey there thanks!

yeah--you know i'm trying to remember myself! i was so busy snapping. these were so tough to take, 'cos the only flash i had was this lomo colorsplash, and the cycle time is something like 30 seconds...so i'd sit there waiting forever for the flash to repower, hoping i'd get a fresh move with decent lighting.
  • dope photo. serious windmill action, I presume...? (or some such b-boy commotion).
