we first received a set of songs from this cat about 2 years ago, on a CD labeled, well, “mood enhancement”. it contained a gang of lovely, yet unpolished hip hop tracks that immediately caught my fancy–i knew he was on to something–jazzy and futuristic beats with raps that didn’t come off pretensious. exactly up my alley. fast forward 2 years, and the album has thickened, been reworked, and it’s difficult for me to comprehand that the time has passed and yet i still have yet to hear anything of this ilk.
how many hip hoppers do you know that produce and play the sax (right there in left field ~3.2mb) and rap, and do all of them equally as well? even sings okay too :) (easy flow ~2.1mb)
