i was invited by the homie anthony to hang out with him and some friends for dinner, then later go to the over the rhine show at the Tractor Tavern. well…the dinner, at la carta de oaxaca, was *wonderful*. it’s the best mexican i’ve had since i’ve gotten here, with reasonable prices (although the 6 of us admittedly ordered a gang of food). the wait was a little while so anthony and i headed over to sonic boom and i copped the grayskul 12″ “prom quiz” (you happy now jae?!)
everyone else already had advanced tickets–when we got to the tavern, i found out the show was sold out! yikes. oh well; it’s a work night. but dag–no show pix. although i got a few others.
speaking of pix; i got my first 120 negative from the holga back. about 5 of the 16 look like pictures! i’m frankly surprised anything came out. this camera is the most difficult ever to work with! everything that seems to go wrong does–spool getting loose, light leaks, dealing with the weird 120 film. i got tired after the first roll, of dealing with the 120, so i currently have it modded to use 35MM film (joy i had to go into your craft room to complete the rig i hope you don’t mind ;). here goes nothing!
speaking of here goes nothing–i shot a roll of slide film, some shots using my new colorsplash flash. Currently it’s being cross-processed. we’ll see how it turns out.
