Like they could ever know that!
(been waiting to use that for a while here :)
it’s kind of like agents (in fact that’s the first place i read an article about them in any kind of depth), but very much cooler, because i, a human, still have a large part in shaping what i choose.
being able to go in to del.icio.us, find a tag (in this case D70), subscribe to everyones, then subscribe to that in my RSS reader is wonderful, and the info is based on other human beings as well, instead of “smart software”.
and it just works. simple, and unfrustrating.
imagine that, software as a tool.
update: speaking of agents, this article from wired (same mag who brought the original agents article) is somewhat related, although it seems to say the Same Old Thing people continue to say about the internet vs. real life relationships. it seems that people are constantly scared and confused about “the Internet Thing”, and every few weeks someone gets an article published about it.
Why is this particular article any different? oh wait — they coined a new phrase, and need an article around it–”egocasting”.
update: speaking of egocasting: here’s a better term: folksonomy.

What a day. Finally just about done with the major coding effort of our project. I love it when a plan comes together.
exhausted.

happy accidents do happen, when you try hard enough.
well us, and one picture of a black catholic (not anthony)
why is it that Ant describes the javac task as having an excludesfile option, but doesn’t mention on the same page what the format of said file should be?! separated by commas, like normal exludes? on a line by themselves? what
where do i find the format of excludesfile? i guess i’ll just try and see, but i’d rather get it right the first time. maybe i’ll ask the lazyweb. :)
symptomatic of a lot of apache documentation (where the world do i find the password for the admin user on a tomcat install, for example!!! circular documentation)
