apparently my thumbnail issues are something others are experiencing (see "Working with RAW Images"). I was working with JPEGs, not RAW [sp?] images, though. Annoying, because it’s a huge enough bug that I feel like i’m working with beta and not released software. Assuming they were rushed to get this (new iLife, iPhoto 5) out in tandem with the other products…

Yeah this is olds, but anyway, since i’m listening to it again…

I haven’t even heard all of the 50 cent joint, but i definitely know the beat and the general feel. I’d have to say that PUTS’ Out Da Club is the real joint though….way funkier, classical hip hop, and the way they flip 50′s is so nice. A 12″ for all of your crates.

ideally i want this ability (post to a blog from one of my photos) in my own gallery, because it’s easier to archive everything if i own it, and most importantly, i trust myself to not go out of business or change business models. i’m still stuck on being burnt with mp3.com, and the breakage of all my links. I trust del.icio.us with my links currently because a) they’re just links–i understand the possibility that these links may become inoperable at some point, and b) del.icio.us from all the looks of it, is an open project (i.e. not owned by anyone or bound by a proprietary license, although i’d like to see a little more upfront about what technologies are used behind it).

iPhoto 5 imported my pics upside down. Interesting. Nikon D70–never had the problem in D70. many of my portrait pictures seem to have been imported upside down, although the thumbnails indicate that they are right side up. some are just fine. when i rotate the bad ones to correct, however. now the thumbnail displays upside down.

truly bizarre.

wait a sec…last evening when i looked at all of these, all of them were rotated as they should have been. did i select a set of portrait pics and rotate them unawares? if so, why aren’t their thumbnails upside down as well? i wonder if it did this while viewing the slideshow? maybe the Ken Burns Effect means mysteriously flip your pictures.
