spammed by a thankful yellow monkey

dear diary,
i’ve been getting comment spammed by a thankful chinese ape lately. apparently i’m not alone. I found it original, and amusiing. :) wordpress 1.5 is just fine, no external software, for comment spam killing. I often wonder why so many go through so many other measures to combat it. It takes patience (to see your “please moderate” queue grow–but that’s what the blacklist is for as well!:) other than that, not much else.

back to work for today.

i can only imagine how the real attacking chinese monkey looks.

my favorite is that they tried at first as

y ellowmonkey.com and "chinese apes"

then y ellowmonkey2.com and "chinese apes2"
