Jaylie Logs In!

Was just thinking about this again. Two nights ago, we went to an open house for our school. The last place we went was the computer lab.

My daughter logged in.

It was the cutest thing ever.

I often forget that she does know how to use a computer (she sometimes gets to go to NickJr.com when we’re on it), and I *know* she knows how to play the games, but the logging in thing (from the control alt delete to the whole username/password) was just the cutest, most precious thing I’ve seen so far this year. :)

The thing is, it’s not such a point of fascination with her as it is with me. She can do with or without it, it’s such a part of her existence. I think it’s so much more interesting for me for two reasons. The first and most obvious is that I like to program, design, and manipulate these things to get what I want out of them. The second is that I think there’s still a wow factor that she may not grow up with, since personal computers have just been around her all of her life.

That’s such a good thing.

  • Very cute indeed.

I know- it's weird. our daughter ava (who is 4) is so natural with our mac laptop... it's just something that they'll grow up knowing about. it freaks me out a little, since I am just now learning my way around the computer. but yeah, it's awesome, isn't it?

tooo cute! babygirl LOVES whatsherface.com...we had to print it out very neatly and tape it to the comp so she could get to it herself - jaylie might like as well....it's a fun girly site! :)
