		<description>Leslie grew up in an Assemblies of God church, I think, as did I.  We always had "Watch Night Services" too.  The history of the Assemblies of God, the Church of God and the COG in Christ are linked historically to the the Pentecostal Revival in the US.  I'm sure a lot of the practices and traditions are co-mingled in those denominations.</description>

		<description>What a cool tradition! The service we went to was just a typical New Year's Eve service which they lamely tried to make liturgical by calling it "The Eve of the Name of Jesus" service. But 'twas a good service, so I can't complain too much...</description>
