The Incredibles!

We peeped The Incredibles this weekend.

In summary: Very Good Flick. I’m surprised at how much character interaction there is in the film. There’s a bunch of action for sure, but I’d have to say there’s more dialogue than your average adventure flick. It makes for a good little story, and I think it’ll aid in the longevity of the film.

The animation of course is Pixar Dopeness, so no complaints there. I love looking forward to each movie to see how well they do the hair.

I dig the little subtle(?) message to the kids about working together…they work best to defeat their foes when they use their complimentary gifts, and they do it well. They dole out the message by example, which is appreciated (I can’t remember once when they said anything to the effect of “see how much better we are when we work together?” they just do it).

Both our kids were attentive during the duration of the film (5 yo girl 2 yo boy), even with the lulls.

That makes two DVDs to pick up now when they drop, hopefully both by the time my birthday rolls around? (Napoleon Dynomite of course is the FIRST!)

This weekend—Imax 3D version of Polar Express yo!

  • How wonderful it is! Today, I had seen the film - "The Incredibles" this afternoon, my father also had seen this film in this evening. This cartoon movie is powered by Disney-Pixar.
In this film, I love the people's sensation, scene, bugbears. The scene is so sublime.
    With the great imagination.
  • I want to see that movie sooooo bad!

Hey, just came across this great interview with Brad Bird, the mastermind behind 'The Incredibles'. Great reading, and some neat insights into the movie industry.

Hey I went and saw this today!

I laughed like it was Def Comedy Jam. I cried like it was an episode of Little House On The Prairie. I guess that makes The Incredibles something like Def Comedy on the Prairie. All the wholesome comedy without the explicit profanity! I love that little designer lady - she had the best lines, no doubt.

I will definitely see this again. Pixar till i die, muthafalcon.
