I’m going to be doing turntables for a band this weekend, and also at our church gathering Sunday. I usually get the “this is cool! this is interesting!” comments, and I expect them. What is always pleasant is the fact that I’m working with a group who is fully competent–wayyy more than myself, actually–and are able to assimilate to this new instrument in the band.

In short–I had an extremely fun time, and am greatly looking forward to several music sessions with these guys. There was exactly one person back home who i could jam with in any musical capacity. Now I’m at a place that is chock full of musicians. Its enough to make a brother cry tears of joy.
