The Move Begins…
Monday, August 2nd, 2004Today, we had our first dr. appointment for the new baby. It was a blessing to hear the heartbeat, and to get preliminary news that everything is OK. It’s a concern to know that currently you are between jobs, and that you may have to shell out the loot to go on COBRA for about 20 days, to pay hospital bills that will end up totalling just about the same as the COBRA coverage. Man. Being a grown-up is a trip. God He always good, and on time though, you know?
This is the first week of our Move To Seattle Process –we pretty much have it on lock in Seattle (place picked out, services set up, etc.) It’s just getting this doggone house together back here in South Bend that’s the big trip. One good thing is that the moving company will handle all the boxing packing and shipping so no worries (OK well, minimal worries), so our lot is to get stuff thrown away, and organized. This is the fun part. I’m learning that with the new joint, we will think twice, thrice, about any possessions we want to accumulate, and be very diligent about getting rid of paperwork. Another residual blessing of the move is that now that I’ll be home every night, i can be the Dictator of Junk Mail and Extranneous Paper. Very much looking forward to that…
