I’m sure you’re going to find many DJs who will never touch anything but vinyl.

no doubt–unfortunately these dj’s, in my opinion, don’t hold respect for hip hop… i’m a hip hop dj, though, so i can really only speak on that aspect ;)

on the real–hip hop has *always* embraced technology, when it worked. why do you think there are so many advancements in the mixer, and even the turntable (although there are die-hards who only touch 1200′s). finally there are digital players that can keep up. it’s time to consider the future. some of my favorite dj’s have:

    dj jazzy jeff
    dj cut chemist
    dj shadow
    babu (beat junkies)

    etc…

I just came back from NAMM convention in Anaheim, CA. The Digital-1200 is the best CDDJ console that Ive ever seen. It beats all the competition out of the water. Me, being a traditional vinyl turntableist absolutely appreciate the technology that comes with this great tool and I plan to won two of them. They will run about $1200.00 to match the name but they are worth it. Any one who dares to dog technicsDigital-1200 doesnt know what the F**K they are talking about.

man, i’m excited about this. $1200 isn’t bad at all, considering i paid $1k apiece for my pioneers. i would imagine street price may be on par with the pioneers. yo did you get to see them in action?

I sure did see them in action, and i got to use them for a good 20 mins. They had about six sets out on display at NAMM Show for evryone to mess with. They’re off the hook, it has a memory card you can save mp3′s and personnal settings, And scratching on them is superb. Im a battle dj so I really gave them a good run.. Technics has always been #1 and now with the digital1200 they hold the #1 in CDDJ class…. These are my opinions, dont hate till you tried’em.

RamonSkii – how about the mechanics…does the platter actually spin like the analog 1200s while the cd is playing?

Does anyone know how accurate the pitch increment is? (CDJ-1000′s go down to 0.02% I believe…)
