an incredible piece of work by the duo. it just continues to keep getting better. after their first joint “Raw Material” they hit you with the underground “sound methods” and the earplug “Blue Collar Sessions”, and this, backbreakanomics is nothing more but a continuation and elevation of the gritty beats and socially & spiritually conscious and clever lyrics with lovely delivery from manCHILD. if you get no other hip hop release this year (besides our own stu dent ;), get this one. check out mars ill’s website as well to catch up on their old stuffs.
sounding less pretensious than d’angelo and less of a "girl" than maxwell, this is hip hop influenced soul at its best. you heard this cat on slum village’s “tainted”, and in fact the album has the vibe of that song. Grown man chillout music. love it.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/imtask/
An Ant task that allows a user to send an instant message to a user. It currently supports Toc (AIM) and XMPP (Jabber) protocols. This task is useful for reporting bild status and completion. I’m particularly interested in receiving feedback on how the SSL support is for Jabber, as i have no server on which to currently test it.
alrighty, so i just finished the Jabber task for Ant–i’m going to roll it into a new “ImTask” release and try to have it up in SourceForge within the next few days.
in the meantime i fixed some possible problems with the previous TocTask.
hey that wasn’t so hard.
j.
wow where have you been all my life!
pixeldam — i so love pixel art!
i’m working on a jabber version of the toctask — which i will be renaming (obviously) and refactoring. the first order of business is to get the jabber task working, then for the refactoring.
been doing some XSL Transformation. powerful, and low learning curve–what more can you ask for? i got started with the tutorial at w3schools.
hoo boy. another flight tomorrow morning. not digging the corporate plane rides. but it’s all good. see you tomorrow, fam!
so what the deal? in my quick search, the best i could come up with was this article on ebay and web services. that was back ages ago. has there been any progress? have i been sleeping? how do i tap into ebay web services, as a developer?
ahhh okay, i’m a mark: they seem to know what’s going on, i’m just crazy late. well i didn’t need ‘em until now. we’ll see how this works out for the kid.
