I currently have an hp pavilion 5300, its in good shape and works well other than the battery giving out. What is this computer worth? i’ve heard all sorts of figures and am looking for some more figures from you guys. thanks alot. Please help me out, i need to sell it!

That’s interesting. I don’t use the volume control, so i don’t think i ever even noticed that. Just checked–mine is working fine (i have a 5385). Have you checked on HP’s site and downoaded the latest Audio Drivers? I’d try that, as well as see if they have an updated BIOS, or anything else pertaining to control panels…

I was helping out a friend by reloading xp onto his pavilion ze5600 and after completeing i found that the volume control on the side will not function and was wondering if there was a way to fix that. Im sure that he wouldnt care if he even noticed but it bugs me to not know how to fix it. Im sure it is just some software or a driver that I need but I can not make it work. I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks, Matt
