yeah it’s like the XML scratchpad, but not as “full featured”. :) what it does have though is ability to save my dev token, so i can come back to it when i need to. it’s basically a placeholder ’til i (or someone else) can get the amazon module fixed and working with the latest drupal release candidate. and i guess it’s a way if i wanted to, to add local amazon searching from my site.

Fun on Campus
We hung out this afternoon on Notre Dame’s campus around the way. It was beautiful, and joy brought the camera so i took a few pictures. i used Darren’s tips on F-stop, so i finally know just why i turn that little knob back and forth :)
UPDATE: threw some B&W’s taken that same day.
Good Read::Is it Really that Bad out There?
This has been a great read so far…i’m not finished so no comments just yet, but read along with me.
i’ve definitely known since i’ve been out of the “corporate world” (and even when it was about time for me to leave) that my ideas were and are my currency these days…
alright done
alright that’s it for now. i realized after all was said and done, that apparently green is a favorite colour of mine…the bottom part is a trip to get right. i’m too tired to work on it anymore though….good night.
joy took the two pix up top. jaden was playing in (and apparently drinking) the mud, and mommy didn’t do anything to stop it! :)
the background of the banner is a pic i took of my little girl on our last vacation.
Too Easy
It has become too easy these days to re”design” a site. :) i’m no good, i admit, but i do it anyway, for fun. so don’t hate if this site once again sports new colours. i think i’m near settled on layout–i just want to mess with the colours a bit. (i like saying ‘colours’). CSS is the stidduff.
TocTask — take a look?
I wrote an neat, useful Ant Task (btw tfftech.com is Not Quite Live yet). I’m working on something kind of the other way around as well…using my Jb software, get the status of a system or build environment.
UPDATE 6/19 3.11pm: I’ve updated the software and placed documentation on usage on the site as well.
HP Pavilion ze5385us tri-boot
To let anyone know, i’m successfully tri-booting my new laptop between Linux (RH9) Win2k server, and windows XP Home. i won’t go into details, but just so you know and have any questions about it, hit me up…

my son, his speech
does anyone have any idea what kids say? my boy is about 17 months old, and he “speaks” — he says simple words and what not (okay only 3 that i understand), but he has spoken in “sentences” for quite some time now. It’s a trip, ‘cos he uses inflection and all, and if i say “huh” he repeats, complete with an “ummm”– the only thing is that it’s gobbleygook. litterally.
anyone know the meaning of “gullie glee glah!” ?
thanks.

XF86Config for hp pavillion ze5300
aight here it is…stick this in your /usr/lib/X11/XF86Config and this should do you….i haven’t tried any further, but i know that if you wanted to get a little more specific looking for a driver, the card inside is a Radeon IGP 345M (or at least compatible with it) — the hp site or docs don’t have specifications on the hardware in this badboy, and i’m not about to open this mug up. i spent too much to be doing that on my own, these days.
this works perfectly with my ze5385, YMMV.

this is CANCER we’re talking about!
aight so this commercial on tech tv, from “Cancer Treatment Centers of America” is on, with all these testimonies from “cancer survivors”. each time one speaks, (i noticed for the first time) in tiny letters in the top “letterbox” — “No results typical. You should not expect to receive these results.”
YIKES! this is CANCER we’re talking about–they’re offering all this “Hope” in this commercial while disclaiming (probably only ‘cos they had to) in tiny letters that you shouldn’t expect to receive the results the people are talking about…man.
