The trip back was crazy rainy–typical of our trips back. At least twice i remember where we had a perfect “to” trip and the “back home” trip was bad weather. I wonder if that’s a pattern. Either way, it’s much needed rain, and a good way to end the lovely weekend weather.
Our girl the goofball, got a toy twisted & stuck in her hair and had to ride with it for a few dozen miles before we could stop at a rest area and remove it. she happily played with this blue plastic dangling from her hair ’til we got to pull it out.
Our boy, as he had the entire trip to, cried most of the trip back–he slept about 30 minutes. It’s pretty much a crap shoot with him weather or not he’ll cry or not on a trip. With about 20 minutes left in the trip i started playing with the automatic window in the back of the vehicle on his side, and it entertained him the entire rest of the way–i wish i would have thought about that hours ago…Perhaps we would have broken the rental’s window though.
Speaking of rentals, we got bilked by our local Enterprise rent-a-car. That was my first time renting with them, and assuredly the last, as they’re every bit as much salesfolk as a rental operation. Besides–who wants to roll around with a Big Green “E” sticker on their vehicles while they’re out?
